Are your negative thoughts making you feel heavy?
I cant remember the last time I watched the news where there was positive and up lifting stories.
Can you?
In a world were it seems we are bombarded with bad news stories and shocking images on the T.V.
Do you find yourself wrestling with negative thoughts and feeling heavy more often than you used to?
Sometimes the hardest thing to do is fight our own private negative thoughts and feelings.
They may be invisible from the outside world, but can play a big part in how we see, feel and think about our environment.
If you are a person that thinks from the “Glass is half empty” option try these steps below.
1. Start to make a conscious effort of the thoughts that come to mind, we can only change the things we are aware of!
2. Ask yourself if there is any evidence to these thoughts being true, if they are negative, challenge these thoughts.
3. Think about what would happen if you reversed this thought into a positive.
How would you feel, see things and start to behave?.
I use these steps with clients and they notice a marked improvement.
It does take time, but with practice and persistence, you may notice others are looking at you and saying
“You always look at things with the Glass half full”
“What’s your secret?”
